CTET July 2025 Application Form (Soon), Exam Date (TBA), Eligibility Criteria

The application form for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test July 2025 will be released on the official website of the CTET most probably in the first week of April 2025. After the release of notification by the CBSE, New Delhi, the window to submit the application form will be available on the official website for four weeks.

The Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi will release the application form for the CTET July 2025 at https://ctet.nic.in/, to apply for this examination a candidate is required to provide details, attach documents and make fee payment. Once it is released, the direct link to apply will be also made available below for convenience.

What is CTET?

The CTET is administered twice by the CBSE, New Delhi for the aspirants who are seeking jobs as Primary Teacher and Upper Primary Teacher in government and private schools across the country. It is held for the two Papers, Paper 1 is conducted for the Class 1 to 5 aspiring Teachers, while Paper 2 is organized for the Class 6 to 8 aspiring Teachers.

Candidates who pass the Central Teacher Eligibility Test are awarded with a TET certificate, which is required for appointment as Teacher at Primary and Upper Primary school across the nation. For the year 2025, notification for the July session will be released in the very near future which will be followed by the submission of the application form.

Eligibility for CTET July 2025

As I mentioned above, the CBSE, New held the CTET for two papers i.e. Paper 1 and Paper 2, to apply for which a candidate is required to meet the eligibility criterias. You may check the details about it from the listed points.

Paper 1:

  • A candidate has passed the Intermediate exam from a school recognised by the CBSE, CISCE, NIOS or State Board. 
  • Additionally, the candidate’s must have pursued a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education or four-year Bachelor’s of Elementary Education from an institution recognized by the NCTE.

Paper 2:

  • A candidate must have pursued a Bachelor’s degree in any subject from a university recognized by the UGC. Additionally, the candidate must pursue a two-year Bachelor’s of Education, or three-year Bachelor’s of Education – Master’s of Education from an institution recognized by the NCTE; or
  • A candidate must have passed the Intermediate exam from a school recognised by the CBSE, CISCE, NIOS or State Board. Additionally, the individual must have pursued four-year Bachelor’s of Elementary Education, four-year Bachelor’s of Science cum Bachelor’s of Education, four-year Bachelor’s of Arts cum Bachelor’s of Education, or four-year Integrated Teacher Education Programme.

There is no cap of lower or upper age limit to apply for the CTET July 2025 for Paper 1 or Paper 2.

CTET July 2025 Application Fee

In order to apply for Paper 1 or Paper 2, a candidate will have to deposit the application fee of 1,000 rupees and 500 rupees if the candidate belongs to UR, OBC or EWS and SC, ST or PH, respectively. Incase of applying for Paper 1 and Paper 2, both, a candidate is required to pay 1200 rupees instead of 1000, 600 rupees instead of 500.

  • Total Questions: 150
  • Maximum Marks: 150
  • Question Type: Objective
  • Marking Scheme:
    • +1 mark for each correct answer
    •  0 mark for each incorrect response
  • Sections
    • Paper I (For Classes I to V):
      1. Child Development & Pedagogy – 30 questions
      2. Language I – 30 questions
      3. Language II – 30 questions
      4. Mathematics – 30 questions
      5. Environmental Studies – 30 questions
    • Paper II (For Classes VI to VIII):
      1. Child Development & Pedagogy – 30 questions
      2. Language I – 30 questions
      3. Language II – 30 questions
      4. Mathematics & Science or Social Studies – 60 questions
  • Medium: English & Hindi

CTET July 2025 Exam Date 

The exam date for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test for July 2025 Session is yet to be announced by the CBSE, New Delhi. Students should know that the exam is going to be administered in the second week of July 2025, it will be administered in two shifts, separately for the Paper 1 and Paper 2.
