The Telangana government started the new ration card distribution from 26 January 2025 after the nodal offices had completed the verification. The government also invites the citizens to apply for the ration card if they still haven’t got their ration card.

Ration Card is an important document as it allows the citizens to access subsidized foods and government schemes, and it can also be used as identity proof. Telangana citizens who have applied for the ration card can learn to track their application status on the EPDS portal here.  

EPDS Telangana Ration Card Status 2025

The Telangana government has announced the new ration card in January 2025, the ration card provides access to many benefits to the citizens. The citizens who have applied for the ration card can track the application status through the EPDS online portal. 

The EPDS portal allows the citizens to access real-time information about their ration card, ration card list, and other information in a few seconds. The citizens who wish to track the Ration card application status can follow the below steps:

• You should first go to the EPDS official portal at https://epds.telangana.gov.in/FoodSecurityAct/
• Next, you should click on the FSC search option on the EPDS portal homepage.
• Next, go to the search option and select the FSC Application Search. 
• Now in the next page, select your district, MeeSeva number or Application Number and click the Search button.
• Once you click the search button, your ration card status will appear on your screen with other information, such as the application number, the head of family name, RC status, card type, FP Shop number, Gas Connection, Consumer number, and others. 

The ration card status will show the member names, their aadhar number, with your ration card status – approved/ rejected/ Pending. If the ration card was rejected by the authority, the portal will also show the reason for rejection.  

What to do if your Telangana Ration Card is not approved? 

The officials generally reject the Telangana ration card application when the neutered information is not correct, there is some issue with your application that needs correction, or the government does not find you eligible for the respective ration card you have applied for, or other errors. 

However, if authority has denied your FSC application due to some reasons and you are sure that you are eligible for the ration card, you can submit the Grievance redressal request on the EPDS portal. With the redressal request, the authority will again look into your application issue and respond to your request accordingly. 

The citizens can find the Grievance redressal system on the EPDS portal homepage and lodge their grievance easily. You should log into the portal with your username and password and submit the necessary documents. The applicants can also check their grievance status on the portal and see what steps the authority has taken on their request. 

How to download your Telangana Ration Card? 

After the approval of the application, the process generally takes around 15 to 30 days to issue the ration card. The nodal officers complete the verification for the ration card and then the authority issues the ration card. 

Telangana citizens whose ration card application is approved can download the ration card after a few days in the following steps:

• You should visit the EPDS portal mentioned above.
• Next, you should log into the portal with your username and password along with the Security code. 
• Once you log into the portal, look for the download Ration Card option on the dashboard. 
• Next, click the download ration card option and enter your Application Reference number, ration card number, or MeeSeva number on the page.
• Once you submit the details, your ration card will appear on your screen with the family member details and other information, and you can click the download option.
