The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) is an entrance exam to get admission for MBBS/BDS courses in medical/dental government and private colleges across the country. The notification for year 2025 was released on February 07, and window to apply is all set to be available upto March 07.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criterias for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) 2025 is available below in terms of educational institutions and age limit.

  • A candidate must have passed the Intermediate (Class 12) Examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology from a school recognised by the CBSE/CISCE or any State Board.
  • Students who are going to participate in the Class 12 Exam with Science, Commerce or Arts stream for academic year 2024-25 are also eligible to participate in this exam.
  • A candidate’s age shouldn’t be below 17 years as December 31, 2025. There is no upper age limit to apply for this examination.

Application Fee

In order to apply for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) 2025, a candidate who belongs to UR is required to deposit the application fee of ₹1,700/, individuals who belong to OBC/EWS are required to deposit the application fee of ₹1,600/.

The NEET UG 2025 application fee for students who belong to Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Caste and Physically Handicapped is only ₹1,000/. Make sure to pay the required amount by deadline, because without it no application form will be accepted by the National Testing Agency.

Exam Date 

The exam date for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test 2025 is announced by the National Testing Agency. Candidates should know that the exam is going to be administered in offline mode using the OMR Sheets on May 04, 2025. Candidates should know that the exam is going to be held in a single shift from 02:00 pm to 03:00 pm across the country.

Candidates who have enrolled to participate in the NEET UG 2025 should know that on the exam day, a candidate will have to report at the respective exam centre by 01:00 pm with a photo identity card and physical copy of admit card. The gate of the exam centre is likely to be closed by this time, and those who will report after that won’t be allowed inside the exam hall.
