The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission has released the notice of the preliminary examination for the Review Officer and Assistant Review Officer recruitment and scheduled the examination on 27 July 2025 in one shift from 09:30 PM to 12:30 PM across 75 districts.
Candidates who have applied for the Review Officer and Assistant Review Officer post advertised in 2023, have been waiting for the exam notice, and their wait is finally over. With the preliminary exam date confirmation, the candidates are now wondering about the admit card availability. As per the reports, the candidates can expect the admit card to be available ten to seven days before the examination on the website.Â
So, with the examination on 27 July 2025, candidates can expect the admit card to be rolled out between 17 and 20 July 2025. Candidates should start their preparation for the preliminary examinations as it is just four months away. Candidates who have applied for the RO/ARO 2023 recruitment can download their admit card for the Preliminary examinations to be held on 27 July 2025 in the following steps:
- You should visit the official website of UPPSC mentioned above.Â
- Next, scroll down to the Recruitment Dashboard, there you can find the direct link to the RO/ARO admit card For Advt. no. Q-7/E-1/2023.
- Once you click the direct link of the admit card, you will be directed to a new page.
- Next, click the Download Admit card option and enter your personal details, like OTR number, DOB, and Gender along with Security Code.Â
- Once you enter all the details, click the Download Admit Card button and your RO/ARO Admit card for the Pre exam will appear on your screen.Â

Exam Pattern
Candidates who have applied for the UPPSC RO/ARO recruitment should check the following exam pattern of the upcoming preliminary examinations to prepare well:
- The Preliminary examination will have two papers – Paper I (General Science), and Paper II (General Hindi). Here’s the number of questions, duration, and maximum marks of both papers:

- The preliminary examination follows a negative marking scheme, so for every wrong answer, your 0.33 marks will be deducted.Â
- The commission has fixed the minimum efficiency standard for the Preliminary examinations, that is, 35% for SC/ST and 40% for other candidates. So, if you wish to make your place on the merit list you have to score above the mentioned passing marks.Â
